Overview

Cooler Mac is a Mac thermal comfort app created by Lumany LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app, visit the website, contact support, or purchase a license.

App data

The app may store local preferences on your Mac, such as fan profile choices, selected cooling modes, duration settings, helper status, onboarding choices, and app settings. This information is used to make the app work and is not intentionally uploaded by Cooler Mac.

Thermal and component readings

Cooler Mac may display temperature, fan, battery, process, or component readings exposed by macOS or the installed helper. These readings are used locally to power the interface and cooling behavior. If you send screenshots or logs to support, they may include technical details you choose to share.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle. Paddle may collect payment details, billing information, tax information, and transaction records as needed to process your purchase, provide receipts, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Cooler Mac does not receive or store your full payment card number.

License delivery

After a completed purchase, Cooler Mac may use transaction details from Paddle, such as transaction ID, customer ID, and buyer email address, to deliver license or purchase support. Transactional emails may be sent through an email provider.

Support communications

If you contact support, we may receive your email address, message contents, app version, macOS version, purchase information, and any screenshots or logs you choose to send. We use this information to respond to you and improve the app.

Website

The Cooler Mac website may receive standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps. When you request a trial download, we use the email address you provide to deliver access, send essential trial information, and record the request in our customer relationship system. The website does not currently use behavioral advertising trackers.
